Google Street View’s Strangest And Most Hilarious Pictures, Plus How You Can Create Your Own

First Google Maps came in and changed the way people got around. No more map books or asking locals for directions, and no more using landmarks to find your way. All you had to do was enter the address and follow the voice prompts to know exactly where to go.

Then the tech giants introduced Street View—the ability to see the destination you're going to, from your phone or computer. It's not live, but it is actual photos. Google didn't wait for the streets to be clear before snapping, meaning that there are some people caught in compromising positions. Brace yourself, because this list gets pretty wild!

Stitched Back Together

In order to create the effect of you being on the street and looking around, Google used 360-degree virtual photography. These photos were then stitched together to create the scene you navigate and give you a perfect idea of what you're going to run into when you reach your destination.

While it works perfectly for buildings and natural landscapes, moving objects, creatures and humans can be distorted. As seen in this stitched picture, the woman on the boulder appears to be a midget. But on closer inspection, she is actually a whole woman, put together bizarrely due to the stitching process.

That's Public Indecency Man!

Google has gone to great lengths to ensure that they don't invade anyone's personal space. This includes blurring out people's faces, the registrations on cars, and even lowering the cameras taking photos so as not to see over into private property.

But still, it was difficult for them not to capture some private and, well, intimate moments while taking shots. Of course, all of this was in public, as this picture in Mexico of a man relieving himself in public. Still, the company has blurred out all the critical parts, so no one can take this man to task for indecent exposure.

Hitching A Ride To The Next Truck Stop

The female escort trade has often been referred to as the oldest profession in the world. Despite its seedy nature, not all countries are against it. Some have a legal trade, others completely ban it, while some countries just don't talk about it. The trade has also expanded to go beyond brothels and street corners.

One of the branches is the truck stop escort. Venues, where long-distance truckers stopover to stay the night have also become prime venues for ladies of the night. Sometimes, they may even hitch a ride with one of the drivers they've met to get to the next truck stop.

More Questions Than Answers

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but this one is worth a thousand questions. And each and every one of those questions begins with the why. Why is the dog laying down? Why is this man bare in the trunk of his car? Why are the neighbors not saying anything?

The other question is, why did the photographer not flag the strange behavior? Probably because sometimes people put on a show for the Street View camera. It's not always that people are caught off guard by vehicles, and when they know, they sometimes like to create a scene fitting of catching the eye on Google Earth.

Distorted Picture, or Mythical creature

Another one of that strange, morphed human images created by the virtual stitching process with Street View images. That's not uncommon, although the locals from Yucatán Mexico, where the step pyramid called Temple of Kukulcán is situated, may have a different opinion about that. That's because those legs look like they belong on a Chupacabra.

There is no definitive description for this mythical creature, although hind legs like a dog do fit some depictions. While it originates from the Americas, the Chupacabra has been stained in Maine and Chile. People have also mistaken hairless dogs from Mexico for the creature.

What a Strange Town

So there has already been a bunch of strange things seen in this story. But of all the things that have been deliberately set up for the Street View car to capture, this must be the strangest one. At least we hope they set it up for the Google team to capture.

It would be creepy if this was something they did every day in the Tamagawa Aqueduct Greenway in Tokyo. That would mean the cameras actually captured something perfectly normal, yet insanely terrifying. Or it could be really funny if they were like The Queen's Guard in England, not being allowed to move, no matter what's done to them.

But Is She Really Bare?

People will probably quickly point a finger and say "but the Google photographer could have waited for her to be out of frame" before taking the photo. But the actual question should be, is she really bare? No one actually knows what's behind the towel, it just assumed she's bare because there are no straps.

The human mind has a tendency of seeing the whole as more important than the small parts. This is the gestalt theory of psychology and has a tendency ais why we see her as bare under the towel despite not knowing what's behind the towel. For all we know, she could be wearing a strapless bikini.

Getting Some Air

It seems like this woman may have been on a bare beach or something. That's really no excuse for being so exposed though since she could have put on something a little more modest when on her way back to the car. That's not even the most questionable thing about this photo.

Notice that there are two blurred spots? Well, Google only placed one of them. The blurred spot on the cars behind is their work, while our editors placed the one on the woman's behind. It appears that the company didn't find her exposed body worth covering. Perhaps like this woman they believe it's acceptable to walk around in a bikini.

The Truth Is Out There... Google Knows Where

While there are plenty of people who both agree and disagree with the idea that space aliens exist, this photo on Google Earth all but confirms it... kind of. You see while none of this can be blamed on stitching or distortion, this could just be debunked as just another show put on by an attention-seeking human.

After all, no one knows if aliens look this way. This grey alien is the most common description given for extraterrestrials, with 73% of Americans who "encountered" aliens describing them as grey men with large black eyes, smooth hairless heads, and tiny bodies. But this one could just be an alien doll dressed like a rapper.

P*mped Out

Whether he is or isn't, it's common knowledge that in America, p*mps dress in outlandish outfits. For those not in the know, p*mps are in the female escort business and are noticeable but their over-the-top dress sense. But the reasons for this vary.

Some believe that they do it to grab attention, for potential clientele to know that a certain p*mp's lady is available. Another apparent reason is that they like to show off what their profession has provided for them. This is also why they are backed up by an equally outlandish vehicle and other accessories.

Catering For A Unique Target Market

Taken on a highway in Barcelona, this image is a testament to something that is common practice in the city. Migrant Street vendors have been popping up all over the city. The practice is illegal but that hasn't stopped them from setting up stalls all over the city trying to make ends meet.

This has affected local shops, saying that it's bad for business and needs to be controlled. It's unclear whether this is a disgruntled local shop owner or a migrant street vendor, but she is using a unique spot to sell her wares. We doubt it worked, no one wants to pull over on the highway for lemonade.

Going Old-School With A Twist

What's strange about this picture isn't the bike, but the extra passenger riding in the back. The bike is known as a penny-farthing and was the first machine to officially be called a bicycle. It was popular during the 1870s and 1880s and was highly regarded as both fast and safe to use.

But it was soon replaced by the modern bicycle, which caught up to it in terms of speed and comfort. The big wheel was renowned for making the bike go fast owning to the large surface area it covered and also for absorbing shock. The extra carriage was not a part of the original design, though!

Poor Little Pony

There's nothing wrong with riding a pony is there? Not really although this does look a little strange considering this is more suited to little girls than grown women. Maybe she should also probably check in on her local laws before she gets a horse... or rides a pony again.

This way, she avoids discovering what a Canadian couple from Selkirk, Manitoba discovered in 2015. They had been riding their horses in the city for 25 years, only to discover that it was illegal all along. That's because horses aren't allowed on the city's streets without a special permit.

Litte Red Sweating Hood

There's nothing worth seeing here, just two ladies getting their sweat on with a power walk in the park. In fact, they could be getting very sweaty under those red sweatsuits which also don't seem very comfortable... at least not for a workout. These may be makeshift suits since sweats are usually voluminous.

Sweatsuits are a staple of the weight loss industry. Initially, they were worn to keep heat trapped inside. This heat causes sweating which in turn is theoretically meant to lead to weight loss. This theory was later debunked although it was still seen as a good way to sweat out toxins during a detox session.

Arthouse Serial Killer

Never mind running into this on Google Street View, imagine being someone running into this on the street! At least at first glance, this is going to seem like the kind of scene from a horror movie. But it's actually just a bunch of mannequins dumped in the trash.

There is a bit of an artistic edge to this though. Perhaps it's an art piece strategically placed in these trash cans to symbolize the artist's point of view of something. Whoever it is chose the perfect day with the team in the area ready to snap some pics that will live on the Internet forever.

These Boys Should Know Better

While some of the strange things captured on Street View are usually light-hearted, sometimes it makes us question humanity. Like these boys attacking another in a Gumby suit. It's all good saying that boys will be boys but should parents perhaps not be teaching their boys to do better than fighting.

Especially with someone who is wearing the suit of a character as loveable and popular as Gumby. For those who don't know him, Gumby is an American clay animation character. He has been around since the 1950s and has been a part of two shows, Howdy Doody and The Gumby Show, and a 1995 feature film.

Always Out To Catch The Eye

There's an old saying that says you should never leave home without looking your best. Obviously, that means different things to different people: to some, it means a three-piece suit with a bow tie and to others, it means more casual jeans, T-shirt, and sneakers.

To this guy, it means a full-body leotard with tights and a black wig similar to an '80s aerobics video. Of course, the million-dollar question is, did this guy know that he would be performing for the Google cameras on that day. Maybe he did and maybe he didn't but he made sure he left home looking his best.

He Thinks He's Playing Fortnite

Fortnite is a popular online game widely regarded as the number one battle royale game. While many will debate this it's no doubt that it's fun to play. One of the main reasons for this is the fact that everything on the scene is usable. This includes dumpsters and portaloos which can be hidden in.

Of course, this isn't a dumpster, but when you're playing real-life Fortnite, you take what you get. One thing you don't want to get is sick, though, and being in a bin will do that. Common bacteria found in bins include Salmonella, E. Coli, and Listeria all renowned for causing bad stomach ailments.

Prepping For The Snow Season

Mont Blanc is the highest peak in the Alps and is renowned for various sporting events. These include the Tour de France, which includes it annually, and the 200-mile run called the Ultra Trail Mont Blanc, which is sort of a bucket list event for trail runners around the world.

It's also renowned as a skiing and snowboarding venue during winter. Hence it's not unusual that someone was caught doing some sort of physical activity on its slopes. But skiing in summer, with no snow... that's crazy! Unless of course, this guy is just getting himself warmed up for the snowy season.

Getting The Cinderella Treatment

There probably isn't anyone in the world that doesn't want to feel like a princess on their wedding day. Nothing says princess quite like riding to your wedding day in a carriage pulled by a horse. Plus, it looks like a pumpkin carriage, similar to the one used by Cinderella in the famous story.

Now, this bride also has the distinction of being captured by a Google Street View camera. Here's hoping that they didn't get into trouble for the way they backed up the traffic on the day. Cars should be accustomed to this though, especially in Europe and South Asia, where it's a popular practice.

A Thousand Scarecrows

This image wasn't found by accident or because of someone setting up something for the Google cameras. In fact, this setting has been around for three decades. It's known as The Silent People of Suomussalmi and was curated in a field in Finland by artist Reijo Kela.

The installation is famous for looking rather menacing in the morning and looking more optimistic as the day progresses. It's also become part of the Helsinki community, with locals actually taking time out to maintain the installation even changing the clothing. It's quite a popular tourist attraction as well and offers alternatives to the Northern Lights and breathtaking landscapes.

Scuba Monsters

What are the chances that someone would be out in the middle of the day wearing scuba gear? plus they're nowhere near a beach which makes it even stranger for them to wear it. They're clearly out to get someone's attention, in fact, they're quite professional about it.

The two men in the picture are renowned Norwegian pranksters. They operate in the Bergen municipality where they made a name for themselves trying to get caught by the Google camera as many times as possible. They appeared to succeed since the following images of this street show them running after the car.

Blocking the Postman

Mail workers and courier employees face many challenges. From traffic to inclement weather and carting around fragile and expensive goods, the job is challenging and deadline-driven. Plus they also have to deal with unruly people, like this man pictured. Plus this guy is also breaking the law by sitting on that box.

There's only one thing the U.S. government respects more than its army, that's the U.S Postal Service. In fact, that respect runs so deep that it's a criminal offense to obstruct the postal workers. That includes sitting on a box, like this guy. Luckily, Google blurred out his face so no one could report him to the authorities.

What Are You Doing Here

A bird in the urban jungle isn't something to fret about. But a seagull in the urban jungle is a completely different story. It's pretty obvious why of course, it's a SEA-gull so should be at the SEA. But that's only how things are perceived, in reality, they go pretty much wherever they want to.

In fact, despite their names, it's actually not uncommon for them to venture inland. They actually do this in large numbers and are regularly spotted in urban areas, even among high-rise buildings and city squares. This is especially true for New York, where they're an important resource to the natural state of the city.

Recreating An Historical Moment

An Archer aiming at an object on another person's head? That sounds like the kind of thing someone would do to show off for the camera. It's also very similar to the story of William Tell, the man who started the Swiss revolution and is widely considered as the first Swiss Confederate.

The legend of Tell is famous for him shooting an apple off from his son's head, at the behest of Albrecht Gessler, a ruler who had arrested Tell for not bowing to him. Tell eventually assassinated Gessler and in the process started the Swiss revolution. Pity, Google Street View wasn't around back then!

Painting The Scene

Most people are content with taking photos of a landscape with their modern cell phones. This guy is different. He opted to paint the landscape, while actually being there, even though he could have taken a photo with his phone and painted the landscape from the comfort of his home.

Of course, that isn't as fun and also takes away from the artistic experience. In that way, he emulates famous landscape painters like Claude Monet, John Constable, and Vincent Van Gogh. He also wouldn't have been snapped by Google Street View if he went home to paint it from his phone.

Everywhere At The Same Time

How can one person be in three places at the same time? Be around when the Google Street View car is in the area to take some snaps of your hood. Like this guy who shows up multiple times on one street shot, thanks to him following the car as it was shooting down his street.

what's even more impressive is that he actually struck several different poses in the shot. He also doesn't just feature three times, but six times, when taking the 360-degree view of the street. What would really be weird was if he showed up further down the road as well.

Don't Call The Dog Catcher

What's worse: The fact that a stray dog is running around in this neighborhood? or the fact that someone decided to dump some bagels or donuts on the street. It's a bit of a catch-22 because, although the dog should be in its yard, if he wasn't running loose, that food would just be litter.

Instead, it's become a doggy snack, and won't just lie in the middle of the sidewalk attracting flies and other bugs. But eventually, animal control services will come, but at least the dog won't suffer the fate of strays during the 19th century. They were usually rounded up and shot.

Resident Alligator

Okay so in this instance, Street View didn't stumble across anything, because this alligator probably hangs out on that spot daily. He doesn't mean any harm either. Because alligators are cold-blooded, they can't regulate their own temperatures and need to use their surrounding to do this.

So to warm up he needs to sunbathe, and there's no better place to do this than on the banks of the river. He may look like he's lurking but it's rare for them to attack humans. In fact, they're afraid of humans and were on the brink of extinction in the past due to being hunted. This doesn't mean they're not dangerous, though.

The Fisherbear

Besides using cameras, the Street View team also used drones to get the images that were too awkward or difficult to obtain. Some of these also captured magnificent moments like this bear getting into the thick of things and fishing in the Kurile Lake in Russia.

This lake is renowned for having the largest spawning of Sockeye Salmon anywhere in the world. This population could be anything from 1.5 to 3.5 million salmon. They grow to over two feet long and die after they spawn, at least somewhat regulating the amount of fish in the dam.

Blitzen Running Late

We hope this reindeer realizes that the road is meant for cars, not animals and that he could cause a serious accident if someone came speeding around that bend. Where be belongs is in the air, with Rudolph leading the way and Santa Clause laughing away.

Of course, those are all just legends, although it's a pretty cool one. Santa's reindeer first made an appearance in an 1823 poem called A Visit From St. Nicholas and is credited to a man named Clement Clarke Moore. He was a professor and writer of Oriental and Greek literature.

Taking A Bird For A Walk

It's common to see people walking their dogs, and Google Street View must have tons of snaps of people doing just that. But this guy is next-level taking his pet bird out for some sun and a walk. The main concern, of course, is if he fears that the bird will fly away just sitting on his hand.

He may have it trained to not fly or to return at a certain trigger noise. There are other alternatives as well. These include a bird harness or if fresh air is all the bird needs, there is the option of a smaller cage, or clipping its wings.

The Comfiest Onesie Out There

When in the great outdoors, on a camping trip, or for whatever other reason you're spending some time away from home, one of the main concerns is keeping warm. This person seems to have it all under control with his bear costume.

Now, this is nothing compared to the lengths Leonardo DiCaprio went through to get a bear fur coat in The Revenant. In fact, this suit is easily obtainable from any Walmart store or even from the online store. There are plenty of other adorable bear suits available and, of course, being Walmart there are plenty of other camping supplies as well.

Putting On A Show for the Google Cameras

The Google cameras clearly became pretty iconic when they were collecting images from around the world. They also appeared to get many artists creative juices flowing, as seen with this vignette, set up by Pittsburg artist Ben Kinsley. He set up an array of vignettes through the historical area, focused on grabbing the attention of the cameras.

One of those was the marching parade in Sampsonia Way which also featured a marching band and color guard. If you track your way down the street, the band takes a formation in two columns on the side of the road.

Let's Get This Party Started

It's worth remembering that on Google Maps, you can also turn your gaze upward along with looking up and down the street. Even if it's for nothing more than seeing a guy enjoying a vignette in Pittsburg. This is still Sampsonia Way in the historical area, and this is happening above Ben Kinsley's vignette.

He is even celebrating it and inadvertently adding to the show by dropping some confetti over the performers. Who knows, he may have even been contracted by the showrunner for the role, especially considering the community nature of the project.

Love Potion Number 10

For our next trick, we present the workings of some scientists. Or at least actors pretending to be scientists. This was set up with the Google streetcar in mind and is supposed to depict some sort of love ray that has been aimed a the two scientists on the right, making them helplessly in love with one another.

This is similar to the film Love Potion No. 9, where a man enlists chemical engineers to create a love potion that makes anyone irresistible to the opposite gender. Maybe they intend for their love ray to be an improvement on the potion? Maybe they want it to be Love Potion No. 10?

Kung Fu Skateboarders

Some scenes staged for the Google cameras are set up by professionals, or, at least, well thought out. Others are just haphazardly put together or quickly thought up. This appears to be the latter. In fact, it's unclear what it actually is.

As a skateboarding accident, it's a little too clean-cut. The posture of the boy laying on his back is too posed and that skateboard doesn't look like it was part of an accident. As a streetfight, the kid standing up is a little too posed for it to be considered real. Then again it's not meant to be real, plus they're only kids.

Gone But Not Forgotten

When the Google cameras came rolling through the village of Nagoro in Japan, a local artist decided to do a little display. So the artist set up an installation at a local bus stop where the cameras would pass as they snapped pics of the surroundings.

In the installment, the artist recreated several neighbors and friends she knew from the village. These are people who have either passed away or left for better opportunities. The amazing thing is that these actually look like real people, and should someone stumble across this on maps, and then in real life, they would definitely be weirded out.

Victoria's Secret No More

Like a stealthy spy in the night, Google started snapping away on the streets of every country in the world. What it stumbled upon here looks like a modeling shoot for Victoria's Secret. Either that or some test shots being done for a spy movie.

It could even be a bit of both, with the iconic lingerie company being no stranger to doing urban shoots for promotional materials. In fact, it's not unusual for them to do their shoots in places like Hawaii, Brazil, Paris, and even Aspen. Their models are also renowned for wearing nothing but underwear.

The Empire Has Finally Reached Earth

Did you know, that absolutely every scene in the Star Wars film series is shot on Earth? Okay, we know, not funny, but still, despite this fact, none of it happens on Earth, at least until Google Earth snapped some photos of this farmer's yard.

It turns out he was sick of Star Wars taking place in a galaxy far away and brought some of the rebels versus empire action to his lawn. He may have gotten the dimensions of his AT-AT walker wrong since it's meant to be 65 feet high. Then again, only the Darth Vader would have the resources to build something that size.

BoJack Waiting For...

BoJack Horseman is a popular sitcom about a humanoid horse named Bojack. In it, he tries to get back the fame he had when he was the star of his own sitcom. The show earned critical acclaim and won many awards, as well as three Emmy nominations.

The guy in this photo may or may not have been the inspiration for the show, given that this photo was taken before the first episodes aired in 2014. It also has all the makings of a tragicomedy, although instead of trying to find fame, it appears that this horseman is waiting for something.

Round One... Fight!

Oh dear, this definitely does not look like something put on for the Google cameras. In fact, this actually looks like something out of WWE. No, even more real than that, UFC. It's unclear what the reason is for the brawl, and no one reported about it on the news or social media.

It did however make a splash on social media when it was discovered and actually went viral. A real indication that it's an actual fight is the fact that, when you look around on Street View, you can actually see a shocked crowd of onlookers watching the action.

Rock 'n' Roll Queen

The Google Street View team was doing a very important job. Their iconic role was going to change how people get around forever. They are like rockstars, and in Australia, this woman gave them the greeting befitting of a rockstar.

In a move commonly reserved for a Mötley Crüe concert, she flashed her bosom to the camera. In another rare incident, there was some lawful retribution, with her actually being reported and facing minor charges for her actions. She has been charged with indecent exposure, and although perplexed about it, was content with achieving what she calls a bucket list item.

More Than A Maize Field

This cornfield is probably one of the most challenging around. Not only does it have 3,106 miles of pathways, but it also has 85 decision points to get patrons really stuck. It's also suggested that people set aside a minimum of an hour to complete this maze situated in Edmonton, Canada.

You don't even been to be in Edmonton to experience the maze. Because the runners of this establishment have used Street View technology to map out their maze, allowing anyone to access it via Google maps. The maze even had a Street View Challenge, with people asked to find the bridge in the middle of the maze.

In The Land of The Stig And The Loch Ness Monster

Everybody knows who The Stig is, yet nobody actually knows who The Stig is. This is because, despite being one of the most popular characters in motoring show history thanks to his appearances on Top Gear, no one knew who was under that mask, or where he's from.

In truth, The Stig has been unmasked twice through the portrayer's autobiography. The men in question were Perry McCarthy and Ben Collins. It was once reported that Sir Lewis Hamilton played The Stig. The show is still going strong, but if you want to see The Stig on a non-show night, check him out on Google maps on the A82 in Scotland.

Boots Made For Walking

Like the character Randall Flagg in the Stephen King novel, The Stand, this lady is equipped with leather boots and ready to walk the long road. Or let us rephrase that. Like that famous Nancy Sinatra song, this woman's boot appears to be made for walking and walking all over that long road.

One wonders what kind of domestic disturbance resulted in this woman having walked all that distance. Plus, being in the New Mexico desert, nothing is coming up but more desert. She's also clearly not hitchhiking since she's walking on the wrong side of the road for that. Maybe the car in the distance dropped her off.

Keeping It Fresh

This must be some kind of prank. Because really, you can't drive a car when it's wrapped in plastic wrap like that, simply because you wouldn't be able to see a thing through hat windscreen. Oh no, this wrapping happened while the owner of this car was inside that fine establishment.

Maybe there was a service being run outside the place, where they wap your car to keep it fresh and protected from the elements while you have a meal inside. Maybe it was a birthday prank, maybe the car was even delivered here as a surprise, still fresh in the wrapping. Whatever it is, the maybe's are endless.

Open-Air Rehearsals

When is the perfect time to strike a pose? When someone points a camera at you, you see yourself in the mirror, and when the Google car is in your neighborhood. That seems to be what these kids got up to, in fact, it seems like they put some work into this routine.

In fact, it doesn't look like this is actually something set up specifically for the cameras. Instead, it looks like the drama club heard that the Street View team was in town and chose their simplest but most effective routine to show off when the camera passed them.

The Real Heroes

Even Superman, the Incredible Hulk, and any other comic book hero cannot compare to the real-life heroism of a firefighter. These mortal men brave the most dangerous element in the world to save lives, and it takes a lot for them to qualify as firefighters.

It's not easy becoming a firefighter either. Not only is there a physical exam, but also a psychological exam. Plus you need to have clean credit and criminal record, and your social media presence needs to be super clean. You also need to pass the academy, which is how you become one of the heroes who saved the lives in Turtle Creek.

What Was Once There Is Now Gone

It's amazing how things change as the years go by. This is one of the things that is a pitfall of a Street View image. What was there in 2008, may not be there in 2021... except maybe on Google Earth.

Like the one of this wedding reception in Cardiff, Wales. The dates couldn't have come together perfectly, the wedding taking place on the same day the cameras are in town. Now this person has a memory of living on the Internet, but that wedding venue has since become a subway station.

The Haunting In Chicago

This looks like something from a horror movie, and that is probably what these people were going for. That's because, based on the date on this picture, it was taken in October, the month of Halloween. Of course, decorations are meant to be scary, but in a child-like kind of way.

But this house in Chicago clearly didn't want any trick or treaters bothering them, because this decoration is bound to scare kids away. Of course, they better have hoped kids don't take this as an excuse to play a trick because they didn't get a treat. You don't want your house being toilet papered!

The Invisible Man

We bet that some people who have used Google Street View may think that there are a lot of haunted places and weird creatures out there. This is because there are a lot of images where people are either strange-looking or invisible, like in this photo.

This is because of the stitching method used by the production team to put the pictures online. This is also most common with pictures where there is a lot of movement, where the stitching often misses the moving objects or person. So don't call the priest or Ghostbusters, just consider it a glitch.

You're Only Half The Men They Are

Another stitching mishap, only this time, it looks like something straight out of an Addams Family movie. That franchise is famous for its disembodied characters and strange, macabre themes and stories. In fact, these pairs of legs would fit in perfectly with the Addams clan.

The characters in this story were initially created as separate entities by the cartoonist Charles Addams, AKA Chas Addams. But they were eventually brought together as the Addams Family, with further characters like Thing and cousin Itt added later. If these legs were added, they'd be called the Halfman twins. A sequel to the 2019 film Addams Family is due out in 2021.

Hey! I Know You!

This is what a Google car looks like, with the camera mounted on the top. The irony of one of these cars being on a Street View street shot is not lost on anyone. In fact, it's amazing that, since they both were moving at the time, there should be some stitching issues if we're not mistaken.

Cars were the common means of photography for urban and suburban photography. But when required the team also had to use tricycles, boats, snowmobiles and even sometimes tracking on foot. They even went as far as using underwater apparatus to get their shots. Talk about dedication to the cause.

The Street View Docking Station

So, after a hard day photographing, there is nothing better than clocking off and docking the vehicle for the day. This is just one of many docking stations where the Street View team leaves work behind for some much-needed rest and recuperation.

Ironically, it also looks like a little Google car club gathering for a waterfront get-together. This shows the scale and length to which the company went to make street-view happen. It's also a testament to the ground they covered, which in 2017 was calculated at ten million miles across 83 countries.

Mobile Dentist In Bustling Dhaka

There is one thing Dhaka is well known for: It's the insane traffic, and lack of traffic order and law. It's unclear how anyone gets their license in this place, but for every pitfall, there is always something unique and ingenious. No, this is about those little three-wheeled vehicles popular in India.

Looking at this picture, the one thing that stands out is the man with a dentist's chair on his trailer, behind a bicycle. It's fascinating to find out if this is the dentist himself taking his practice to whoever has requested it or is this a delivery guy who has an important drop-off to make.

Look Ma, ... And A Dab

Here hoping its guy showing off and dabbing on his bike didn't have him rear-ending a Google car. That would be sad since this is an impressive photo. At least this guy is in Australia, and not in Saudi Arabia, where it's banned because of it being linked to the marijuana culture.

The real funny story though is that it traces its roots back to the early Japanese pop culture. This includes Super Sentai, the show that would become the Power Rangers, and the character Gohan in Dragonball Z. It was later popularized by Jason Derulo and also by Manchester United's Paul Pogba.

The Van That Stood The Test Of Time

There's nothing strange about this image right? It's the same van in at least three of the four photos. The only difference is that in the photo on the bottom right corner of the grid, the van is now oncoming, instead of parked on the side of the road.

Ironically, you'll also suddenly notice that the can has moved slightly in all of the images. Is this a stitching issue? Or has Street View been updating its photos? It's reported that for residential areas, Google will update its images every three to four years. What that means is that the same van has been working this street for many years.

The Man Of The Lake

While this one isn't from Street View, it is Google's satellite view, and this is also an amazing feat. Although there isn't much information about this lake, or whether it was intended to be noticed on satellite view, but it was most definitely structured that way on purpose.

This lake is located in Iacanga, Sao Paolo in Brazil. It's unclear why it was made that way but judging by the look of it, it's likely that it's part of a field hydration system for the surrounding land. It's still quite an impressive feat and adds some extra wonder to this beautiful landscape.

That Is What A Good Perk Feels Like

Google is a company that understands that it would be nothing without its staff. This is why it's always lauded for keeping employees happy, with everything from snazzy canteens to awesome freebies and perks. This is also why they have been voted the best company to work for six years in a row by Fortune magazine.

In 2019 they also won awards for Best CEO, Best Company Culture, and Best Company for Women. It was also fitting that, when a Street View car came around their London office, they allowed their staff to step outside and do a flash mob for the passing camera.

Now Where Is Platform 9 3/4?

The Harry Potter film series captivated its audience in the same way the books written by J. K. Rowling did. But while the making of those initial movies has long since ceased, the Warner studio in London where the film was shot is still standing and can be toured by fans.

What's even better is that, if you can't get to London, or can't afford a ticket, you can do a limited tour via Street View. There are various iconic scenes from the film including the iconic cupboard under the stairs where Harry slept. There is also merchandise on sale, although it can't be bought online.

Is This Why It's Black Canyon

Based on this Google Street View experience, it's easy to believe the reason this highway is called the Black Canyon Freeway. It's an apt name since it is a pretty dark road at night and owing to its length, it must be quite dangerous throughout the night for any car.

Ironically this is actually called an interstate and links the Phoenix area to the larger Arizona state. It's also regarded as one of the most scenic highways, gaining altitude as it goes and reaching a height of 7,000 feet. There are also plenty of vistas and scenic mountain views.

There's a Sea Monster On The Loose!

This guy isn't scaring anyone, in fact, everyone appears to be going on just fine with him and his seaweed outfit. In fact, when you take a closer look, you notice that he is in fact a mannequin and not a real person.

While information about this item is scarce, he does raise a few pertinent questions. First and foremost, was he always covered in seaweed or did this build up all over him over a period of time. It's probably the former instead of the latter since his posture suggests that he is trying to scare people. It's not working though.

Build It And They Will Come

Does this look familiar? It will if you've ever seen the film Field of Dreams. It may be short a cornfield, but this is the field they used to shoot many of the baseball scenes in the movie. It had a cornfield and was a farm owned by a man named Al Ameskamp.

A neighboring farm owned by a man named Don Lansing was used to shoot the farm scenes. Lansing would keep his farm in the condition of the film and use it as a tourist destination. Ameskamp eventually sold his farm in 2011, with the baseball field. At least you can visit it in Dyersville, Iowa via street view.

Don't You Dare Take A Photo Of Me

It's as clear as crystal and dark as the night that this woman doesn't want her photo taken by the Google camera. It's unclear what she was planning to get up to, or what she was scared of. One thing is for sure: she clearly didn't know that her identity was going to be concealed.

Not to judge or anything, but she seems to be dressed like a female escort. Maybe the presence of the camera deterred any possible clientele from pursuing her services. Whatever the case may be, her identity is protected and the car quickly moved along, allowing her to get on with whatever her business was.

The King Of The Air Guitar

So you're a municipal worker out on the road and minding your own business and sweeping the street in Marseilles, Illinois. suddenly you notice a Google-branded car with a camera sticking out coming down the street. It's your chance at immortality, so what do you do? Play air guitar of course.

It's probably the easiest thing he could have done, with or without the broom, and honestly, he looks good enough to enter the air guitar world championships. This is actually a thing and has been going on since 1996 and started as part of the world Oulu Music Video Festival in Oulu, Finland.

Va Va Voom

A wheelie may seem like a simple trick, but it takes some mastery to pull off on a motorcycle. Especially considering the speed it goes and the weight the rider has to control, it's no wonder, not every biker tries it. But this guy was so excited by the prospect of getting on Street View, he gave it a shot.

At least the shot they got of him was perfectly executed, although it's unclear whether the Carrollton, Texas native actually landed the trick in the end. America of course is renowned for motorcycle daredevils, most notably, Evel Knievel.

Please Don't Say No

Marriage proposals have come a long way from the times where men had to arrange via parents to marry a woman. In fact, there are many exotic ways to propose, and it seems that the more extravagant, the more likely a positive answer.

So what are the chances of a potential bride saying no to a proposal done while sailing in Italy, and having a photo of the proposal taken for a Street View? That's right, you can also import your own 360 images to the platform. This image can be viewed all around, and you can envision the man's grin as he amps himself for her reaction.

Where're Your Legs At

Hey, maybe this is the guy from the picture with the legs further back! On second thoughts, maybe not. That's because it's doubtful a guy wearing a Ramones T-Shirt would be wearing formal pants. Especially when he's from New York, where the people often don't mix and match their attire.

The Ramones were also from New York, and are widely regarded as the first-ever punk band. Inspired by Paul McCartney and Paul Ramon, all the band members chose names with the last name Ramone, although they were not related. They remain a respected band, despite disbanding in 1996 and not having any living members remaining.

A Pose Fit For Pageantry

Sometimes a photo is just perfectly timed. Some photographers have a knack for it, others get lucky. For the Google photographer who snapped this photo, it was most likely the latter. Not that it's a stab at their skill but, their job doesn't entail timing, it entails getting the job done.

This is why they often capture some strange occurrences, and also some wonderful moments. Like these three horsemen in Iceland, who were snapped just in time for the one in the middle to find a position that was so perfect it would have earned great points at an equestrian pageant.

Clearly Not Up For A Photo Shoot

Apart from maybe that one lady who yelled at the camera, most people were glad to see the camera car. Some even breaking into impromptu performances, ready to be immortalized in someone's Street View browsing. But make this number two on the list of people not up for Google stardom.

This guy reacted like the retired WWE superstar Stone Cold Steve Austin, flashing his middle finger at the camera. It's like a defiant symbol of a bad mood, that is evidently now immortalized in Street View. It may even become the most famous middle finger in the world.

I See You

Just take a closer look at the door of the bus. Do you see it? Boom, now you can't unsee it. This picture was taken on a dusty road in Dakar Senegal where the Google Street View car was on hand to put some pictures to the name of the city made famous by the Paris to Dakar Rally.

It took longer for the team to capture footage of the more rural areas of the world. This is due to terrain, and safety challenges, since a lot of the work had to be done on foot. Thankfully, Dakar is a bit more developed, and these guys could use the car.

Make Your Own Videos

As previously mentioned, you can make your own 360 videos and upload them to Google Street View. Others will have access to this, and be able to see your unique perspective on the venue or area they are looking at. It's also a great way to get you to share your memories, with anyone able to stumble up it.

While some modern phones come with the 360 functions built into the camera app, there are third-party apps that can do just as good a job. These include Roundme, Panorama 360 Camera, and Photaf Panorama Pro among a host of others. These take 360 and instantly stitch as well
