As per Independent, at the end of their 15-year marriage, which started in 1977, Gordon walked away with a fortune of $60 million from the settlement. In 2021, he appeared as himself in the TV special, "Kenny Rogers All in for the Gambler."

Nearly every American with an interest in showbiz has heard of Jocelyn Wildenstein, the socialite who became famous for her failed surgical procedures. She married billionaire art dealer Alec Wildenstein in 1978, but that only led to what would become one of the most renowned divorce scandals in history.

After staying married for more than two decades, the couple decided to split in 1999. Jocelyn's settlement is still regarded as one of the most expensive in history, and she walked away with an almost unbelievable amount of $2.5 billion. That's not all; she was also entitled to receive $100 million each year for the following 13 years.

Mel Gibson, the acting and directing maestro who starred in "Mad Max," had several complications that affected his career. His split from his ex-wife Robyn Moore was one of them.

The couple met in the '70s when Gibson was still an unknown actor, and they got married in 1980. By the time they divorced in 2011, then 'Braveheart" actor was already worth $850 million. Because they didn't sign a prenup agreement before marriage, Moore got to walk away with half of her ex's fortune, a whopping $425 million. Since the incident, Gibson has devoted attention to his career—he starred in "Fatman" in 2020.

Heidi Klum & Seal – Settlement: Undisclosed + No Spousal Support

At the height of their romance, Heidi Klum and Seal were one of the world's most lovely couples, but like many Hollywood marriages before them, theirs wasn't to last. They separated in January 2012, despite nearly seven years of marriage and three biological children between them.

Their divorce in April 2012 was relatively amicable as neither asked for spousal support, although Klum's income was higher than that of her singer ex. They appeared to have reached an agreement and moved on from the incident, but in 2020, reports surfaced that the two got into arguments about sharing time with their children.

Michael Jordan & Juanita Vanoy – Settlement: Reported $168 Million

Basketball legend Michael Jordan married Juanita Vanoy in September 1989. At the time, he was nearing the height of his NBA fame, where he would go on to win six NBA championships in the '90s. Although they reconciled shortly after that, they filed again until their split was made official in December 2006. Vanoy walked away with a settlement of $168 million, making it the largest celebrity settlement at the time. In 2021, we saw Jordan on the TV series "NASCAR on Fox."

"Queen of Country Music" Reba McEntire married her manager Narvel Blackstock in 1989. This was her second marriage, as she'd previously been married to a rancher named Charlie Battles, whom she split from in 1987.

Her connection with Blackstock had always been a fruitful one professionally, but in August 2015, they announced they had brought their relationship to a close. Their divorce was finalized in October that year, and no financial or specific details about the arrangements were shared. McEntire has had a notable acting stint apart from her music career. She appeared in "Young Sheldon" in 2020.

Miranda Lambert & Blake Shelton – Settlement: Undisclosed

For a while, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert were the most adorable country music couple. They were wedded in May 2011 after dating for four years. Their love life was the fantasy of many country music fans, and they even collaborated on an award-winning song.

Sadly, the fairytale was not to last as they announced their divorce to the public in 2015, in July. Their separation was quick and private, as they shared little financial details and broke up amicably. US Weekly, however, reported that they divided multiple assets ranging from their horses to their several properties across the country. Shelton moved on and married pop star Gwen Stefani in 2021.

Jane Fonda & Richard Perry – Settlement: Undisclosed

Oscar-winning actress Jane Fonda started dating record producer Richard Perry in 2009. Before that, she had been married three times to three different men, one of them being the media tycoon Ted Turner. Perhaps erring on the side of caution, she never married Richard Perry, although they dated seriously for almost eight years.

They ended their relationship in 2017. Since they were never married, they didn't have to go through a formal divorce process or split their assets. They did put their Beverly Hills home for sale at $13 million because they decided they would live separately. Fonda is still cast to appear in "Grace and Frankie" until at least 2022.

Mick Jagger & Jerry Hall – Settlement: Undisclosed

Mick Jagger was a lead singer and founding member of the legendary band, the Rolling Stones. He's had several partners during his lifetime. Still, his relationship with model Jerry Hall is particularly notable because they believed they were married even though they were never officially bound together by the law.

As a result, when the couple separated in 1999, Hall was not entitled to any of Jagger's assets. The court declared that they were never officially married in the first place, so their separation couldn't be treated as a proper formal divorce. As per the Guardian, Hall was reportedly looking for a settlement of $30 million. In 2021, he appeared in the short "The Rolling Stones: Living in the Heart of Love."

Madonna & Guy Ritchie – Settlement: Reported $92 Million

For much of her career, Madonna has been known for getting into flings with men younger than her, but at some points, she got serious and decided to settle down. One of her marriages was to film director Guy Ritchie, who directed movies like "Snatch" and Disney's "Aladdin."

Madonna and Ritchie stayed married for about eight years until they decided to call it quits in 2008. Owing to her superstar status, the "Queen of Pop" was more financially buoyant and had more to lose in the divorce than her ex-husband. Ritchie reportedly walked away with a settlement of $92 million. Madonna ended her "Madame X" concert tour in 2020.

Neil Diamond & Marcia Murphey – Settlement: Reported $150 Million

Neil Diamond is one of the highest-selling musicians of all time, with over 100 million of his records sold. This might explain why he had to part with so much from his split with his ex-wife Marcia Murphey. She is a former TV producer who met Diamond while she was still a production assistant.

Although the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer was still married to his first wife when he met Murphey, they started a relationship that led to their marriage in 1969. Their divorce in 1996 meant Diamond had to release half of his income, about $150 million at the time to his second ex-wife. In 2020, he appeared as himself on "Celebrity Page."

Mariah Carey & James Packer – Settlement: Reported $5 – 10 Million

Mariah Carey's relationship with James Packer happened after her split with her second husband, Nick Cannon. This occurred in 2015, and before long, they got engaged. Just as quickly as they got engaged, they called the relationship quits in 2016. By that time, the Grammy award-winning Carey had found another love interest in her backup dancer, Bryan Tanaka.

Following her breakup with the billionaire Packer, Carey reportedly requested to occupy their Beverly Hills home. She also demanded that he buy her another house in Los Angeles and give her a total of $50 million for the settlement. She reportedly got something between $5- to $10 million instead. Did you see her in the 2021 video short "Busta Rhymes Feat. Mariah Carey: Where I Belong"?

Lionel Richie & Diane Richie – Settlement: Reported $20 Million

Soul music legend Lionel Richie was married to his former heartthrob Diane Alexander for about nine years. He married her in December 1995, two years after his split from his first wife and college sweetheart Brenda Harvey. Although Richie's marriage with Harvey lasted for 18 years, his shorter-lived marriage to Alexander made more headlines because of their expensive divorce.

Although they had reportedly agreed on a settlement of a $5 million mansion and $55K per month to Alexander, she later reneged on the agreement and requested $300K per month. Richie reportedly succumbed to these demands and ended up giving her $20 million. In 2020, we saw him on the TV series called "The Rookie."

Adele & Simon Konecki – Settlement: No Spousal Support

Adele proved she was still one of the world's best musicians when her 2021 single "Easy on Me" smashed chart records within weeks of its release. She also seemed to be having a fantastic time personally, judging by her outings with sports agent Rich Paul. Her love life wasn't so glamorous at some point due to her split from her first husband, Simon Konecki.

Konecki and Adele had been dating since 2011, but it wasn't until 2018 they got married. They split that same year and were only able to finalize their divorce by 2021. Neither paid spousal support, and they agreed on joint custody of their son.

After seven years of marriage, they separated in 2006. Cevey reportedly received $25 million from the settlement.

That wasn't the end of their relationship, though, as they reunited in 2016. However, the second time went just as awry as the first, as Cevey got married to another man and refused to leave Collin's $40 million Miami Beach mansion. Collins took his ex-wife to court in 2020, where she reportedly demanded another $20 million.

Marc Anthony & Shannon De Lima – Settlement: $10k/Month Over 3 Years

Apart from being the top-selling tropical artist of all time, Marc Anthony is also known for his marriage to pop icon Jennifer Lopez that lasted a decade. After splitting with Lopez in 2014, he got married to a model named Shannon De Lima.

Unfortunately, his union with De Lima didn't end up as "the one," as they split in 2017. The settlement saw De Lima receiving a monthly payment of $10K over three years. That arrangement seems unlikely to be a problem for the affluent Anthony, who released his 12th studio album "Opus" in 2019.

Wissam Al Mana & Janet Jackson – Settlement: Reported 200 Million

Apart from being famous as the sister of the pop legend Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson has her own astounding music career that has built her quite a fortune. However, her amassed wealth might have paled compared to the multi-million dollar cash out she could have received following her divorce from Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana.

The couple got married in 2012 and split in 2017. The exact details of the settlement are not released, but it's speculated that Jackson could have walked away with anything from $100 million to $500 million. That wasn't her first time attempting a formal split with Lauer in their 21-year marriage, as she had done so once in 2006 only to later reconcile with him. But this time was successful, and she ended up receiving $25 million from the settlement, as per US Weekly. In 2021, he appeared in the documentary "Rulon Gardner Won't Die."

Elin Nordegren & Tiger Woods – Settlement: Reported $100 Million

The Swedish national was famously married to Woods for five years, during which time he continued to affirm his status as the world's best golfer. However, this all changed in 2009 following the media scandal that severely affected his career and marriage.

Nordegren filed for divorce and away with $100 million from the settlement, which was reportedly about a sixth of Wood's fortune at the time. Despite the considerable fallout, the golf legend miraculously bounced back, although he took a break from golf in 2021 following some complications.

Michael Douglas & Diandra Luker – Settlement: Reported $45 Million

As an actor who has won two Oscars and five Golden Globes, there's no denying that Michael Douglas's career has truly flourished. At some point in his life, his other passion apart from acting was his first wife, Diandra Luker. But this ended following their separation in 1995.

Fim producer Luker received $45 million as part of the divorce settlement. She also got to share the coastal estate which they owned on the island of Mallorca. This arrangement changed in 2021 when Douglas bought her out of her share of the estate to make it 100 percent his. In the same year, he played Sandy Kominsky in "The Kominsky Method."

Arnold Schwarzenegger & Maria Shriver – Settlement: Reported $200 Million

This happened due to several complications in their marriage, with Shriver moving out of their Brentwood mansion following the split. As per several reports, they only got close to finalizing the divorce in 2021. Due to their failure to sign a prenup, she would walk away with half of Schwarzenegger's $400 million fortune, meaning she would receive at least $200 million. According to Nicki Swift, the settlement set Ford back $85 million. His ex-wife also squeezed out some percentages from his future income, which means she would have received even more. These figures wouldn't have been a problem for the highly successful Ford. He starred in "The Call of the Wild" In 2021.
